Rod has twenty-five years of experience shaping award-winning, integrated communications in a broad range of categories for leading national brands such as Audi, Sony, Qwest and Gold’s Gym. He started his career in New York, spending eight years working on a variety of packaged goods products, and beginning a lengthy stint in the automotive business on the Volvo account. He moved to North Carolina to help McKinney jumpstart a faltering Audi brand - moving it from almost dead to over 95,000 car sales a year. He spent the next 17 years at the agency, successfully leading teams to develop advertising and marketing programs on behalf of a variety of clients - winning multiple EFFIES, MIXX Awards, Cannes Lions, and others. Rod has deep experience in crafting brand strategies that reinvigorate, reintroduce, and reignite brands in categories with entrenched, deep-pocketed competition and hard-to-reach targets. He lives in Raleigh NC with his wife Liz and their three children: Dylan, Jason, and Maggie. And a hound dog named Zoe. Rod loves to travel, cycle, lead scout camping trips and has recently started a rope-making business with his sons.
